NIV 2 Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. Unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD his God.

12-21 The Trying Years

We come to the closing days of the life and times of Hezekiah the king. I’ve looked at Hezekiah’s life, as developed in 2 Kings, as a three-segment story. This third segment defines the second special benefit this king received—extension of life.
